Gateways¶
Location: Manage → Gateways
Gateways are the network devices that connect your Wirepas mesh tags to the TagFinder cloud. They receive data from nearby tags and forward it over LTE or Ethernet.
Gateway List¶
The Gateways page shows all registered gateways for your organization:
- Name — gateway identifier
- Status — online/offline indicator
- Last seen — when the gateway last reported
- Connected tags — number of tags routing through this gateway
- Location — assigned building/floor (if configured)
Gateway Health¶
Monitor gateway connectivity:
- Online (green) — actively forwarding data
- Offline (red) — not heard from recently; check power and network connectivity
Gateway offline?
If a gateway goes offline, tags in its coverage area will continue to collect data locally (buffered). Data will sync once the gateway reconnects. Check power supply and network (LTE signal or Ethernet cable).
Adding a Gateway¶
Gateways are typically provisioned during site deployment. Contact your TagFinder administrator or CargoBeacon support to register new gateways.
